Does anyone else feel the tamil movie 'Madrasapatinam' looks like its an exact copy of 'Lagaan'? More work for us IP Lawyers I guess!

On other news, P has left for London and if things go well we might settle just there. Am not daring to hope even :p

I would love to see how copyright is enforced in the case of films where the core idea has obviously been plagiarized by the script/screenplay is different. Thereby giving no tangible evidence of 'copyright' violation.. :D

Da rodent- Its a disaster you know. I feel sad for the script/ screenplay writers. The copyright act speaks about a 'substantial portion' which is the catch word here. Most of the time the copycats get away by adding various unnecessary elements in their version and prove that the copied part is not a substantial part of their movie.

@Arpita: This is not just with 'copyright'. The same goes for 'patents' too :P

IMHO, the concept of 'Intellectual Property ownership' is fundamentally flawed and against humanity on the whole. We humans, build on existing knowledge. And, we have no right to claim ownership when most parts of it came from our predecessors.

What is this thing about men and sports? Why do they get all possessive about their love for sports? And finally why do they have such a big problem if women show some interest in any game? Two weeks ago I was at the eye doctor’s clinic in the evening. This was a time when people still believed that India could make it to the Super Eight. Bangladesh was playing against Sri Lanka that day. Since there was no television at the doctor’s clinic, I called up this guy friend of mine and asked him the score. This is how the conversation went- Me- hey wats the score? He- wat score? Me- today’s cricket match score, u fool He- India is not playing today Me- I know, I’m askin about the Bangladesh n Sri lanka match He- Wat? Y? There are some moments in life when you actually feel that your childhood (probably not the right word) has come to an end. When you feel you cant behave like a brat and expect people to say- oh she’s just a kid. Being the youngest in my family and also at my work place, I never thought of myself as a grown up. Even when I started earning. Yesterday I met one of my closest friends & childhood playmate. She’s getting married and leaving the country in a few days . I knew it all along but when I said bye to her yesterday , it finally sunk into me that everything is changing. The house where we spent countless days playing choppu and other invented games is going to belong to someone else soon. God, I’l never forget those days. And it’s horrible to know it’l never come back.
