Saw two movies this weekend- Jodha Akbar and Velli Thirai. I think everybody has spoken so much about JA that there is nothin left to comment upon. The movie was ok, I don remember much of history but my mom being a history teacher helped me out. In fact for quite a while I was wondering who was playing Birbal's character in the movie :-p. Anyway Jodha's and Akbar's romance was the thing which interested me the most, however fictitious it might be. I never used to like Hrithik Roshan much until this movie. Man, he looks damn neat with that moustache. Aishwarya, well, looks Aishwarya. She must love playing parts which require dressing up so much. One thing Ashutosh probably couldnt make her agree to was not to show her navel. A Hindu Princess during that time most defintely din wear such revealing clothes. How did the Director miss that? I wonder why things have to change. Why do people have to move away. Whats the point in being together in the first place if people are just going to be snatched away. I hate this. There are times when I feel like leaving everything and staying alone somewhere. But then I would be doing the same to other people. Is a career more important than being with the ones you love? Its not fair. And what about all those promises? Were they made so that you could slip away more easily? You thought we wouldnt notice? We did notice but in our hearts thought you actually meant it. But now that the truth is revealed, there is even more pain. You are not bad nor are we. why did things have to turn like this then.

Two women molested by a mob of 70 men. Just outside a 5 star hotel in Mumbai. One of the women was stripped too. Such a shameful incident. Imagine the trauma of those two women. By 70 men that too. Oh God! What do we call these people? Animals? No, even animals dont behave like this. It seems this mob was led by two men. Led??? Was not even one of those men in a proper state of mind? Does a man lose all his senses when drunk? Suppose one of the women was his relative, would his loss of sense still make him do all those filthy acts on those women? Few questions on my mind- 1)Considering that this incident occured just outside the hotel, where were the security personnel employed by the hotel? 2) Where are the police? Arent they supposed to patrol on new years eve nights? 3) This incident was captured by few newspaper journalist on camera. Instead of capturing this on camera, why could they not use their influence and alert the police? And how come these pictures are being broadcasted on...

Gtalk and yahoo chat are usually fun ways to spend vetti time. In fact some conversations can lead to very interesting topics [read kadalai] and valuable insights. But sometimes people can really eat your head. Offlate I have devised a method to judge people majorly basing it on how much time they spend online. If they are forever online displaying an available status for chat- vetti pasanga with no inclination towards building a career, and hence wastrels. These are the kind of people who boast of hi-fi jobs [maybe on-site too] and huge pay packets. But they are forever online and available. Desperately looking for a person to whom they can ask- "Hi how are u?" and start mokkafying.I hear warning bells in my head as soon as I see these four words. It means I am going to get bored out of my skull for the next 30 mins [if lucky 15 mins]. Ignoring such msgs can be a huge mistake too. And it happened once again. I was at the Registrar's office and saw this guy who looked very familiar. But the only thing I was able to recall about him was that he was one among my 400 classmates at Law college. Law college is an ocean, believe me. And the extrovert that I am ;-), I had exactly 4 friends. I used to talk to a number of people at college but never bothered to remember their names. Now, I am not exactly haughty or anything. Its just that the time we spent at class was very little and that time was spent in taking notes or making paper rockets. Rest of the time was spent in hanging around the High Court campus. Our college was built in the same campus as the High Court to enable the students to visit the Courts often and listen to the enlightening judgements.
